As the designated Food Bank for Shasta County, we are a member of Feeding America, the largest Food Bank in the United States. This enables us to purchase bulk food at a low cost to share with community food lockers. Included in the programs housed by our Food Bank are the Senior Brown Bag Program, EFAP — The Emergency Food Assistance Program (USDA COMMODITIES) and another Emergency Food Program.

Senior Brown Bag Program

The Brown Bag Program serves low-income seniors aged 60 or older. Each month bags of nutritious food are distributed at Eight distribution sites located throughout Shasta County. We are always in need of brown and plastic grocery bags. By donating your bags you are supporting senior programs as well as using a great way to recycle!
